semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the packed brown sugar and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth.
Add the eggs one at a time, whisking thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and optional chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
Pour the cookie dough into a large cast-iron skillet, spreading it into an even layer.
Sprinkle extra chocolate chips and a pinch of flaky sea salt on top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but soft.
Allow to cool slightly before slicing into wedges or squares.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
